Description:
We are seeking an experienced and quality-focused Assistant Manager – Quality Control to oversee and enhance the print quality processes in our offset printing division. The ideal candidate will assist in leading the QC team, manage inspection protocols, ensure adherence to industry standards, and drive continuous improvement to exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily quality control operations in offset printing production.
- Monitor and verify printing parameters: registration, color consistency, ink density, and finishing quality.
- Assist in setting up and approving first-off samples before mass production.
- Develop and implement SOPs and quality inspection plans across prepress, press, and post-press stages.
- Conduct quality audits and root cause analysis for print defects.
- Ensure compliance with company quality standards, client specifications, and ISO/printing certifications.
- Support the Quality Control Manager in training, coaching, and evaluating QC team members.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and Customer Service to resolve quality-related issues.
- Manage documentation including inspection records, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), CAPAs, and customer complaints.
- Recommend improvements in process and technology for quality enhancement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Diploma in Printing Technology, Graphic Arts, or equivalent.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in offset printing QC, including at least 2 years in a supervisory/leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge of offset printing processes (sheetfed/web), materials, and finishing operations.
- Familiarity with color management systems, densitometers, spectrophotometers, and visual inspection tools.
- Good understanding of ISO standards, lean quality practices, and defect prevention.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
