Description:

Power Chemical Industries Pvt. Ltd., a leading organization in the chemical manufacturing sector, is actively hiring a dedicated and experienced Assistant Manager Accounts Payable for their Faisalabad office. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen and hands-on experience managing accounts payable processes within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The incumbent will be responsible for managing and streamlining payment cycles, ensuring accurate reconciliation of vendor accounts, coordinating with various departments to maintain transparency in transactions, and ensuring compliance with financial policies. Familiarity with import processes, LC management, and freight handling will be essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Incorporate and update LC costs by following proper procedures and systems.

  • Manage foreign trade stock entries and transfers from the Karachi location.

  • Update and reconcile stock data across all company locations in coordination with relevant teams.

  • Handle and reconcile imported material clearing entries from customs using the company’s ERP system (WEBOC).

  • Maintain and reconcile Payment D Account and handle posting adjustment entries.

  • Maintain comprehensive freight expense records and manage goods in transit for timely receipt and accurate costing.

  • Reconcile and resolve issues related to disputed freight bills and mismatches in supplier invoices.

  • Maintain and verify the company’s general ledger and voucher documentation.

  • Prepare and maintain the purchase daybook and ensure availability for audits from Directors, Auditors, and Managers.

  • Manage timely payments and approvals for all transporters, clearing agents, and vendors.

  • Oversee pending clearing agents' bills and work on minimizing outstanding balances.

  • Ensure strong internal controls to prevent errors or fraud in payable functions.

  • Coordinate with all concerned departments to eliminate payment delays and maintain accurate vendor records.

  • Prepare monthly payable aging reports and assist with financial reporting.

  • Ensure records of all purchase orders, invoices, and payment transactions are up-to-date and properly filed.

  • Reconcile outstanding payments with purchase orders and maintain a transparent trail of procurement and payment activity.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: MBA / M.Com / CMA / CA Inter

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in the chemical industry

  • Strong analytical, reconciliation, and communication skills

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems, particularly WEBOC, is preferred

  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
