Art Director

 

Description:

Primarily provide on-set art direction, but will also contribute creative support to new brand initiatives and both internal & external communications efforts communication efforts.

Operational Role & Responsibilities:
- Work closely with internal creative & brand teams for understanding the communications objective and decode the same for design team for aligned outcomes.
- Produces art layouts by developing art concepts and providing work direction to graphic designers & animators.
- Trains, assigns, schedules, and coaches’ graphic design & animation team.
- Meets art department work standards by following production, productivity & quality standards.
- Identifies work process improvements through introducing modern tools such as ClickUp for better reporting and work load management.
- Meets art department cost standards by monitoring expenses and implementing cost-saving actions.
- Formulates art concepts by supervising designers engaged in executing layout designs for artworks to be sent to printer & publications.
- Produces layouts for printing by marking-up, pasting-up, and finishing layouts.
- Provide on-set art direction for on-figure and still life photography and motion shoots
- Develop and execute original concepts for visual content for ecommerce and marketing while remaining true to the brand strategy and identity of each brand
- Research best-in-class and brand appropriate images/motion content for creative reviews and audits
- Design brand books, style guides, mood boards and providing on-set art direction to photographer and production crew.
- Be resourceful, diligent, with attention to detail, and display organizational skills for managing team and projects pipeline.

Strategic Role:
- Raise in-house graphic designer’s skill set for both conventional and digital visual communication as per the needs of diversified brand portfolio including corporate brand.
- Develop workload management and reporting mechanism tools like Trello, ClickUp etc for efficient design resources allocation and utilization.

Essential Skills
- Background in Keynote, Google Suite, Powerpoint, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, Premiere, and Animate)

Experience Requirements
- Overall 7+ years of experience at reputable creative agency
- 2+ years within an agency in same role

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in an art, fine arts or design
