Description:
We are seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialists to join our medical billing team. The AR Specialist will be responsible for managing accounts receivable functions, collections, and resolving outstanding claims.
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies, government agencies, and other third-party payers.
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers to resolve billing issues and inquiries.
- Investigate and resolve claim denials, rejections, and discrepancies promptly and work on Appeal Management.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as coding and revenue cycle. management, to streamline billing processes and improve collections efficiency.
- Must know healthcare regulations, insurance policies, and billing procedures.
- Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances to ensure timely payment.
- Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurance.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience working as an Account Receivable Specialists in a healthcare setting.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and billing processes.
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems and authorization software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, providers, and insurance representatives.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
