Your layer is the prep kit. For every story, you produce a locked set of approved reference images — every character, environment, and prop that story needs — which the artists generate video against. Foundation-first workflow: references locked first, then storyboards, then video generation. The instinct at the center of this is consistency — the same person and the same object staying recognizable across poses and angles, story after story.

 

The work runs through a structured review process with story editors, where revisions flow back to you to be completed precisely. Every generation is prompt-logged for the production's legal review — standard broadcast practice, not personal liability. You work inside a client-provided custom pipeline application on Slack, with AI platform credits provided. Scope is visuals only — no dialogue, no editing.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

• Lock the foundation before shot work begins: For each story, deliver a complete prep kit — every character, element, environment, and prop prepped, consistent, and locked — so the pod can start generating video without waiting on references.

 

• Keep consistency airtight: Hold the same person and the same object recognizable across poses, angles, and stories, so the finished footage holds together across 4–6 mini-stories per episode.

 

• Turn revisions around precisely: When notes come back through the structured review process, complete them exactly as asked — and never touch anything already approved. Do-not-touch boundaries are a hard line you hold.

 

• Keep the pod unblocked across concurrent episodes: Ensure prep is locked ahead of each story's shot work, so no stall is ever traced back to missing or unfinished references.

 

• Log your work cleanly: Keep disciplined prompt logs on every generation, feeding the production's legal review as part of normal broadcast process.

 

• Work inside the pipeline, not against it: Produce inside the client's custom pipeline application, staying within the production's craft constraints rather than fighting them.

 

• Grow toward Production Artist: As your storyboard aptitude and craft expand, take on more of the pod's work and move steadily toward a Production Artist seat.

• Visibly coachable: You learn between iterations in a way people can see — each pass reflects the last note, so the director's feedback to you trends shorter over time.

 

• Disciplined prompt-logging: You keep clean, complete prompt logs on every generation, feeding legal review as a matter of routine.

 

• AI-native and fast to adapt: Fluent with AI generation tools and quick to pick up new ones, comfortable making an unfamiliar platform productive fast.

 

• A strong consistency instinct: You keep the same person and the same object recognizable across poses and angles — the core skill that lets a story hold together on screen.

 

• Comfortable inside embedded guidance: You work productively within the client's pipeline application, treating the guardrails as the way the work gets done rather than something to push against.

 

• Grounded in how stories are built: Story-arc literacy backed by a media or technology degree (recent graduates welcome) or equivalent self-taught grounding.
