Accounts & Budget Officer

 

Description:

The Marketing Budget Officer will be responsible for managing marketing budgets, tracking expenses, coordinating financial processes, and ensuring effective cost control for all marketing activities. The role requires close collaboration with the Marketing team to support campaign planning, forecasting, and financial reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, manage, and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual marketing budgets
  • Track and control marketing expenses against approved budgets
  • Coordinate with marketing teams to estimate costs for campaigns, promotions, events, and digital activities
  • Maintain accurate records of marketing spend, invoices, and supporting documentation
  • Perform budget variance analysis and highlight over- or under-spending with justifications
  • Assist in forecasting future marketing expenses and budget planning
  • Coordinate with vendors, procurement, and accounts payable teams for invoice verification and payments
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and internal controls
  • Support internal and external audits related to marketing expenses
  • Prepare periodic financial reports and summaries for management review
  • Provide cost insights and recommendations to improve marketing spend efficiency

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in budgeting, accounts, or expense management
  • Prior experience supporting marketing or commercial departments will be preferred
