Qualifications

Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliation

Strong knowledge of tax regulations, tax filing, and compliance requirements

Experience with budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management

Proficiency in using accounting and financial software, such as QuickBooks or similar tools

Excellent attention to detail, analytical abilities, and problem-solving skills

Effective communication skills to interact with stakeholders and regulatory authorities

Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are a plus

Prior experience in a similar role, especially within the public safety or enterprise sector, is advantageous

Key Responsibilites:

Maintain basic accounting entries and ledger postings

Perform bank reconciliations and manage petty cash

Assist in preparation of income tax and sales tax returns

Maintain accurate tax records and documentation

Prepare basic reports using MS Excel
