Abid Brothers & Construction Company is seeking a skilled Accountant with proven experience in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day financial operations, maintain accurate accounting records, and support project budgeting and cost tracking. This role requires attention to detail, familiarity with construction-related financial transactions, and a proactive approach to financial management.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update daily financial records, ledgers, and accounts.
- Prepare and manage invoices, receipts, and payments related to construction projects.
- Monitor project expenses, vendor payments, and petty cash transactions.
- Assist in budget preparation, cost estimation, and financial reporting.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate documentation for audits.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and local tax regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and vendors for expense tracking and billing.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial summaries for management review.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com / M.Com preferred).
- 2–3 years of experience as an Accountant in a construction or contracting company (mandatory).
- Strong knowledge of construction project accounting, billing, and cost control.
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, or similar).
- Understanding of taxation, vendor management, and payroll processing.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
