Account Officer

 

Description:

Umerco (Umer & Company) is a USA-based company looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Account Officer to join our finance team at our Valencia Town office. This is a full-time, on-site role working night shift hours to align with our US operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable
  • Record and maintain accurate ledger entries and journal entries
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Prepare and process invoices, payments, and expense reports
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management review
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records in accounting software
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standard accounting practices
  • Coordinate with US-based team members and clients as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience (experience with US-based companies or clients is a plus)
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles and financial reporting
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
