Emeralds Media is looking for a talented and versatile CGI Specialist / 3D Generalist to become a part of its creative team. This multifaceted role requires a broad skill set in 3D modeling, animation, visual effects, lighting, and compositing, allowing you to contribute to various high-end projects in films, games, and digital media. The ideal candidate will work closely with directors, designers, and developers to craft visually compelling and technically polished content.

Key Responsibilities:

🔹 3D Modeling & Texturing:

• Design high-quality 3D models of characters, environments, and props

• Apply detailed and realistic textures using tools like Substance Painter and Photoshop

• Optimize assets for rendering and real-time engines

🔹 Animation (2D/3D):

• Animate characters, scenes, and objects with attention to fluidity and narrative rhythm

• Rig and skin characters for realistic movement

• Collaborate with storyboard artists to ensure animation aligns with the storytelling

🔹 Visual Effects (VFX):

• Create particle effects, explosions, and other dynamic visuals

• Integrate effects into scenes to boost realism

• Solve technical issues within the VFX pipeline

🔹 Lighting:

• Develop visually appealing and narrative-driven lighting setups

• Work alongside other departments to maintain visual consistency

• Optimize lighting for real-time and rendering performance

🔹 Compositing:

• Combine live-action footage with CGI for seamless visuals

• Ensure consistency in color grading, lighting, and perspective

• Perform keying, tracking, and rotoscoping when needed

Requirements:

• Expertise in tools such as Maya, Blender, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Houdini, After Effects, Nuke, and Unreal Engine

• Strong foundational knowledge in topology, UV mapping, lighting physics, color theory, and motion

• Experience across all stages of CGI workflow: modeling, animation, VFX, lighting, and compositing

• A portfolio or demo reel demonstrating versatility and artistic excellence in CGI

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with real-time rendering engines and PBR workflows

• Strong artistic vision with storytelling capabilities

• Problem-solving skills for overcoming technical challenges in CGI production

• Up-to-date awareness of emerging trends and tools in the CGI/VFX industry
